Picture Play Magazine, originally titled Picture-Play Weekly was an American weekly published magazine centered around the movie industry during the golden-age of Hollywood. It was one of the earliest published tabloid style magazines that focused on celebrity gossip, but also included behind-the-scenes content, and movie reviews. It was first published on April 10, 1915, and ultimately transitioned from a weekly to a monthly publication before the end of it's production run in late 1941 after merging with Charm Magazine. Feature stories include "How the Battle Scenes were Filmed for The Big Parade," "Do Clothes Make the Picture," "If John Gilbert had his Way," "Chaplin - The Genius," "Hail! Hail! The Gang's All Here" about the stars of Our Gang comedies plus movie reviews, gossip, news and articles. Heavily illustrated with movie stills and photographs.
