Sometimes listed as Vol. 5 #2. The long-running vehicle for Disney character comics featured work by Carl Barks, Floyd Gottfredson, and Pogo's Walt Kelly. In a classic Floyd Gottfredson story from the Mickey Mouse comic strip, Mickey helps refugee children escape WWII. In a story by Barks, Donald accidentally gives the kids a rare dime worth five hundred dollars, and after they buy ice cream with it, he has a hard time getting it back. In another story, Jose Carioca and Panchito visit Donald Duck for a Caballeros reunion, but a police officer is watching them.
