"This Could Never Happen to Me"; Sally and Tom fall in love and become engaged; After 5 years, Sally's friend Rita warns her Tom is never going to set the date for their wedding and is just using Sally; Sally doesn't believe her, but one day Tom says he's leaving for California, alone, and their relationship is over. "His Arms Were Waiting For Me"; Esther attends a lecture by Lydia Jenkins in which the latter says wives should run the household completely, demand equal treatment from their husbands, and this will lead to a happy home; Esther dates Lydia's son Brad and they fall in love, but Brad doesn't like Esther's application of his mother's scheme. "Wilfred Was My Darling"; Wrestler Mabel and wimpy newspaper reporter Wilfred fall in love, but she breaks up with him because hes unable to defend her against lecherous men they meet; Her father was a boxer and she wants a similar he-man for a beau. "Marsha the Moose" one-page story, art by Dave Berg. "Not Every Man is a Fool"; Helen is upset when her boyfriend Ralph breaks a date to visit an old Army buddy in the hospital; As a child, the death of her parents meant Helen was sent to live with her older sister Dorothy, who criticizes her husband Bill for loaning a sick friend money. 52 pgs., full color.
