A Thing of Evil text story. Buried Alive!; A magician gets his romantically-minded assistant out of the way by locking her in a safe and dumping it in the river so that she drowns as water leaks in. He Walks through Walls; When a bank president receives a shock in his bathroom which renders his body intangible he decides to rob his own bank. Skrak's Secret!; An envious artist wishes to learn how a painter paints the grotesque figures that he does so he sneaks into the studio and surprises the man in his work. Starts Oct 3 Cover by Howard Nostrand. Stories and art by Joe Certa, Bob Powell, Howard Nostrand, and Rudy Palais. Numbering continues from Tomb of Terror (1952) #16. As the social tide turns against horror comics, Harvey renames Tomb of Terror to this less-horrific title, but continues with grisly stories reprinted from Witches' Tales. In one of the most egregious examples, a cruel Caribbean governor executes criminals by having them eaten alive by crabs. A couple purchases a grotesque statue in a curio shop that curses them to destroy each other. A men's club doesn't expect the Devil himself to show up at their weekly seance. League of the Damned; Ghost Doctor; Curse of the Statue; Six Chances to Die; The Blood Plant; Invitation to Doom; Screaming City. 36 pages, full color. Cover price $0.10.
