Flash Thompson learns the hard way that a man cannot outrun his past. During his tour in Vietnam, Flash discovered a sacred hidden temple in the jungle. And despite his best efforts to save the temple, it was destroyed by artillery fire. Now several months later followers from the temple are in New York for revenge. Spider-Man, Gwen Stacy, and the Military Police try their best to protect Flash, but the death squad from Vietnam grabs him! But the shield-slinger finds Batrocthe Leaper and his brigade! When did the French mercenary get into the kidnapping business? Something about this caper seems very, very strange.
