"Vengeance from Vietnam!" Part 1 of 2. Script by Stan Lee. Pencils by John Romita. Inks by John Romita and Tony Mortellaro (backgrounds). Cover by John Romita. Flash Thompson learns the hard way that a man cannot outrun his past. During his tour in Vietnam, Flash discovered a sacred hidden temple in the jungle. And despite his best efforts to save the temple, it was destroyed by artillery fire. Now several months later followers from the temple are in New York for revenge. Spider-Man, Gwen Stacy, and the Military Police try their best to protect Flash, but the death squad from Vietnam grabs him! And next issue the wall-crawler will go for broke to save his long-time rival: Flash Thompson! First appearance of Sha Shan Nguyen. Cameo appearances by Aunt May and Harry Osborn. "The Case of the Honest Crook!", script by Bill Finger, pencils by Bob Kane, inks by Jerry Robinson and George Roussos (backgrounds); Batman helps out a young convict released from prison who is having trouble getting an honest job to support his new, but sick wife; The Caped Crusaders then vow to help track down the rats who set him up to be arrested originally, but Robin is nearly beaten to death, and the Batman swears vengeance on those responsible.
