DAISY HANDBOOK # 2, published 1948 by the Daisy Manufacturing Company. Daisy Air Rifle ads were very frequently and prominently featured in comic books for many decades starting in the 1940's. This book is very unusual, because it has comic book features from several different publishers: DC, Fawcett, Dell and True Comics (Parents Magazine Institute). It also has a 10 cent cover price, rather than being a promotional giveaway. The book was primarily sold through the mail. The book is pocket digest size and 132 pages, including covers. The comics are in black and white. Features include Captain Marvel (Shazam), Robotman (who was a backup feature in Action Comics with Superman), Red Ryder by Fred Harman, the Boy Commandos, Ibis the Invincible, and the humorous "Culture Corner" by Basil Wolverton. There are also real fact features on Leonardo Da Vinci, Rudolph Diesel, and Cleveland Indians Hall of Fame baseball player Bob Feller.
