Lefty Schwartz is done in by his own cronies when the heat gets too hot, in a story inspired by real-life gangster Dutch Schultz. No one suspects that a quiet, suburban family man leads a secret life as a bank robber. In 1945, a gangster targets a profitable bookie joint in Chicago.
