Volume 8 - 1st printing. "August, 1956!" Collects Blondie Comics (1947 McKay/Harvey/King/Charlton) #93, Casper the Friendly Ghost (1952 2nd Series Harvey) #47, Dagwood Comics (1950) #68, Dick Tracy Monthly (1948-1961) #102, Joe Palooka (1945 Harvey) #96, Little Audrey (1952 Harvey) #49, Little Max (1949) #42, Sad Sack (1949) #61 and Sad Sacks Funny Friends (1955) #5. These volumes are some of the earliest examples of Collected Comics. Companies, like Harvey, would archive their material by taking all the issues they released that month and having them bound into hardcover book format. The issues come complete with front and back covers and interiors. They were trimmed down perfectly to fit the hardcover format. Each year has twelve volumes, one for each month of the year. These are extremely rare items. Hardcover (No Dust Jacket), 180 pages, full color.
