Newman and Jay Scott Pike - Elaine and Eddie are engaged but he's drafted into the Army and sent to Korea. After one date with another man, Elaine resolves to wait for Eddie, eschewing any social life for 2 years. Eddie finally returns and they wed: "The wait was worth it!" Plus: "Tony's Kiss" - Gwen is engaged to Billy, but he sees her kissing playboy Tony at a party. Gwen insists Tony kissed her against her will, and was put up to it by the jealous Lil. Tony meets Gwen later and kisses her again, causing Billy and Gwen to break up. Gwen admits to her mother that she loves Tony, but he's left town. However, Tony writes to say he really does love Gwen, and they are reunited. Also: "A Shoulder to Lean On" - Betty meets Jim while on a ski vacation and they become close friends. However, he tells her "I never plan to marry!" because he was an orphan and grew up independent and unwilling to depend on anyone else. When Betty and Jim are trapped by a blizzard and he goes snow-blind, he has to rely on Betty. This makes Jim realise that he loves Betty and is willing to share his life with her. And: "Marion Gets Married!" with pencils by Al Hartley - Marion marries engineer Frank and they move to his family mansion in New York. Marion is at first overwhelmed by her new life, but when Frank returns from a business trip he discovers she's undergone a glamorous makeover and has been throwing parties. Marion explains she did this to try and fit in with his society friends, but Frank says he prefers "the sweet, simple girl I married." They reconcile and will travel the world together, wherever Frank's job takes him. (Note: This story is continued from the previous issue.)
