Between 1934 and 1949, they published almost 400 of these novels. This particular issue is "Smash the Khyber" by Stuart Hamill. Includes interior illustrations. 11" x 15.5". 16 pages. Black and white, and partial color.

Picture Play Magazine, originally titled Picture-Play Weekly was an American weekly published magazine centered around the movie industry during the golden-age of Hollywood. It was one of the earliest published tabloid style magazines that focused on celebrity gossip, but also included behind-the-scenes content, and movie reviews. It was first published on April 10, 1915, and ultimately transitioned from a weekly to a monthly publication before the end of it's production run in late 1941 after merging with Charm Magazine. Cover price $0.25.
