Comics founder M.C. Gaines titled "Narrative Illustration: The Story of the Comics". This article also includes a 12 page color comic insert which includes a 4 page story by Gaines titled "The Minuteman Answers the Call," and a 6 page "Picture Stories from the Bible" insert, "Jonah and the Whale". Gaines traces the history of comics from cave drawing through R.F. Outcault and Siegel and Shuster, and displays a thorough knowledge of comic history. Because this is a printing trade magazine, the reproduction and colors are stunning! Cover price $3.50.
