Sometimes listed as Vol. 4 #10. The long-running vehicle for Disney character comics featured work by Carl Barks, Floyd Gottfredson, and Pogo's Walt Kelly. In a classic Floyd Gottfredson story from the Mickey Mouse comic strip, Mickey becomes the pilot of the experimental plane and finds himself over Nazi-held France. In a story by Barks, Donald competes with his nephews for news photos to sell to the local newspaper. In another story, Donald gets a mail-order penguin. Cover by Walt Kelly doubles as a PSA and features Donald Duck dressed as Uncle Sam, holding a WWII-era War Bond.
