Cover by Mel Keefer. Stories and art by Mel Keefer and Jack Sparling. US Marine Monty Hall (no relation to the game-show host) fights for America during the Korean War. Monty, Tex and Canarsie have a sweet gig accompanying a USO troupe, but Canarsie has to go and get personal with the main star. Tex chafes at taking young new recruits on a mock patrol, but then things get real. Marine "Pin-Up Pete" discusses women he has known, an excuse to present four full-page pin-ups featuring good-girl art by Jack Sparling. This edition of Pin-Up Pete, with its "Willie and Joe"-style grunts in foxholes, might be the best one yet. Plus a Tootsie Roll ad, "Captain Tootsie and the Return of Captain Narsty," with art by Shazam creator C.C. Beck. Show Business; Tex and the Jerk Patrol; From the Halls of Montezuma...; ...To the Shores of Tripoli!; The Puzzle of the Golden Idol!; Hail, Canarsie, the Conquering Hero!; Pin-Up Pete. 32 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
