Walt Disney's Spin and Marty and Annette. 15c Cover Price Edition. Cover photo of Annette Funicello, Tim Considine and David Stollery. Stories by Eric Freiwald and Robert Schaefer. Art by Dan Spiegle. Four Color is the collective title for Dell's long, irregularly published series of one-shots. This issue is based on Mickey Mouse Club TV show teen adventure serial Spin and Marty. It's the perfect Disney/ MMC/ '50s teen-culture trifecta: Annette Funicello joins forces with teen adventurers Spin and Marty. While at their respective summer camps, Annette and the duo encounter strange doings on the shell-shaped Shell Island. Could it really be pirates? This was the last Four Color Spin and Marty issue; followed by Spin and Marty (1958-1959 Dell) #5. The Pirate of Shell Island; Workers Undersea. 32 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.15.
