Cover by John Giunta. Art by Charles A. Voight, Bruce Elliott and John Giunta. The Cisco Kid rode the range as the Robin Hood of the Old West with his corpulent sidekick Pancho, earning a permanent place in 20th-century pop culture. This issue marks the first comic-book appearance of the Cisco Kid. After eluding the town sheriff, Cisco and Pancho get involved in the 20-year duel between two elderly gents over the affections of Conchita. Terrific art by Charles A. Voight. In a story told entirely in rhyming verse, a scientist accidentally gives his new formula to his infant son, and Superbaby is created. "Funnyman" is not the Joe Siegel-created superhero, but a villain who's more like a cross between The Joker and the Red Skull. Plus the story of the opera Faust. Cisco Kid; Devlin Darrell: Killer's Nemesis; Super Baby; Xmas in Mexico; Illustrated Stories of the Operas: Faust; Funnyman: You'll Die Laughing! 32 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
