Cover by C. C. Beck. Stories and art by George Evans, Basil Wolverton, Otto Binder, Bill Woolfolk, Kurt Schaffenberger, Dick Dillin, Anthony Cataldo, and Clem Weisbecker. Fawcett's annual comics omnibus, published to coincide with the Christmas holidays, includes almost 200 pages of comics. Although often described as a collection of unsold, returned comics, the original issues were actually overprinted deliberately for inclusion in Xmas Comics. This issue includes Captain Video #2, Don Winslow of the Navy #68, Whiz Comics #133, Hopalong Cassidy #53, and Captain Video #1. Believed to be the first series to feature enhanced covers. This issue features red felt enhancements to the title and Santa Claus's costume. Captain Video and Ranger investigate after their pal Professor Bradley disappears, and the mysterious Dr. Hypnox shows up with a gun looking for him. Western-movie hero Rod Cameron gets a mite unfriendly when owlhoots steal his horse War Paint and try to pass him off as someone else's horse. Cap and Ranger take action after their "opticon scillometer" shows them a man being chased by a monster scorpion. Plus more stories by future EC legend George Evans, Fawcett legend Otto Binder, and longtime Superman artist Kurt Schaffenberger. Captain Video and the Time When Men Could Not Walk!; Rod Cameron: The Gun Duel!; Captain Video and the Hidden Island; Airfield Al…Relatively Speaking!; The Little Monsters; Captain Video and the Legion of Evil; Bell Bottom Bill; The Attack on Suaki, Chapter One: Death on the Wing; Warriors of the Sea: Torpedo Passage; The Attack on Suaki, Chapter Two: Perilous Journey; Shipwreck and Seaweed: Hounded; The Attack on Suaki, Chapter Three: Trails End!; Tugboat Tucker; The Secret of Sun City; Dizzy Daisy; Rod Cameron: Bushwhacker Bait; Captain Cromwell of the Space Patrol; The Creatures of Doom; Doc Sorebones.
