Up-and-coming actress Trudy is forced to choose between her husband Danny or a promising career on the stage. Joan has great hopes for husband Jim's political career, but her ambition starts to alienate her from Jim's affections. Ruth dislikes her husband's workaholic tendencies and the sketchy parties she's forced to attend for potential clients. Stories and art by Thomas Carew and John Martin. This early romance comic from Fawcett had particularly complex plots to go with the tears and kisses. Edith thinks back on how she loved and lost Mark, and how it all ties in with the true mother of her daughter. Bad girl Lila meets wealthy Ben and decides to take him for all he's worth, but she didn't expect to fall in love. In a story that really shows its era, Tina refuses to shut down her profitable public swimming pool during a polio outbreak, and is blamed when the disease spreads. Mary dates boxer Danny, but when he starts losing bouts, she begins dating his rival Rocky. In another story, Carl is shocked that Mary's father made a crooked deal for uranium-rich land, and Mary doesn't know how to tell Carl that she actually made the deal.
