Gina has been left bitter from life's hardships, and she dates soldier Jerry before he ships out just for fun, but she didn't expect him to fall in love with her. Lois enjoys her wealthy lifestyle, but Jim is troubled by her crooked means to an end... or as the opening caption puts it, "Lois wrote her own code for personal happiness with golden ink. In the rich world of her artificial creation, Love precariously rode the bandwagon, propelled by a dynamo of power." They don't mix metaphors like that anymore.
