"Challenge In the Night," art by Joe Maneely; With his father arrested by the soldiers at Fort Cheyenne, the Ringo Kid races there and demands an audience with the commanding officer, however he is refused admittance into the fort; Forced back, the Ringo Kid calls on his friend Dull Knife and they plot to sneak into the fort; To do this, Dull Knife uses a small tree as a catapult to launch the Ringo Kid over the fort wall; The Kid then fights his way into the court room and insists that the charges against his father are false. 36 pgs., full color. Vol. 8 #22 - April 1957. Science Fantasy, which later became Impulse and then SF Impulse, was a UK published science-fiction and fantasy digest that began production in the Summer of 1950 and was distributed by Nova Publications as a companion to Nova's New Worlds. When Nova went out of business in early 1964, The title was changed to Impulse in early 1966, to little avail, and then changed once more to SF Impulse for the last few issues. Science Fantasy ceased publication the following year, after the printer went bankrupt. Edited by John Carnell. Stories by Richard Wilson, E.C. Tubb, John Wyndham, A. Bertram Chandler and others.
