One-shot, third edition, Nov. 1963. Sub-titled Over the Dead Sea Bottom by Thoat and Zitidar. Published by Richard Lupoff, who at the time had just been appointed the editor of Canaveral Press. Roy Krenkel and Al Williamson contribute full-page illustrations. Introduction by Donald A. Wollheim. Article by Richard Lupoff entitled "But Was It Science Fiction?" in which he says, yes, the Mars novels were science fiction. The main feature is the exhaustive article by Dave Van Arnam from which the fanzine is named. Larry Ivie contributed a beautiful double-page foldout spread of Barsoom and because he drew it the same time as Van Arnam was writing his article, came to different conclusions and then had to contribute an article explaining his reasoning. Van Arnam also contributes an article about ERB's Venus. The afterword is written by Lupoff. A loving and detailed examination of ERB's Mars by professional writers. Scarce. Side-stapled, 8 1/2-in. x 11-in., 88 pages, B&W. Cover price $2.00.
