The Uncanny X-Men have gone down to defeat at the hands of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants! But auspiciously for the young mutants, Quicksilver convinces Magneto to spare their lives and keep Professor X's charges as prisoners instead! While in captivity the resourceful Angel escapes from his cage! Warren wants to free his friends next; however, Cyclops tells him to leave now and fly to Avengers Mansion! Angel starts flying east where he unbelievably runs into Sky-Island - the home of Red Raven and the bird-people! Wow, what a blast from the past! Is Red Raven going to help Angel or harm him? Appearances by the Scarlet Witch and Toad. Second story: "The Iceman Cometh!" Script by Gary Friedrich. Pencils by George Tuska. Inks by John Verpoorten. This five-page story presents the origin of Iceman (aka Bobby Drake). Cameo appearances by Professor X and Cyclops. (Notes: Red Raven previously appeared in Red Raven Comics (1940) #1.
