Volume 437- 1st printing. "The Spanish-American War and Philippine Insurrection!" Written by Alejandro de Quesada. Art by Stephen Walsh. This book details the uniforms and weapons of the American, Spanish, Cuban and Filipino forces involved in the United States Army's first overseas war. In 1898 the USA took the decision to intervene in the Cuban war of independence against Spain, and to expel the last vestige of European colonial rule from the Americas. This also led to the US acquiring rule over the Philippine Islands; and there, US troops were sent into the jungle to fight a "colonial" war of their own, against Filipino insurgents unwilling to exchange one master for another. The text is illustrated with rare early photographs and color plates. Softcover, PC/PB&W.

Volume 113- 1st printing. "US Army Soldier!" Written by Kenneth W Estes. Art by Howard Gerrard. In April 2003, after brief combat, Baghdad fell under US control and the Coalition Provisional Authority was formed to maintain order until a new Iraqi government became a reality. This book details the stabilization operations and the experiences of US Task Force 1st Armored Division (TF 1AD), whose soldiers lived and fought under extreme conditions and whose activities were center stage in the controversial debate surrounding the initial occupation of Iraq. Soldiers' personal experiences from recruitment, training, and armed combat to their aftermath and effects emerge from interviews and new documentation by author Kenneth W. Estes in his account of this crucial military campaign. Softcover, 64 pages, PC/PB&W. Cover price $18.95.

It's a miracle that astro-nots Krunk and Quinn have managed to stay out of the joint this long, but their luck has run out. Now residents of Honest Abe's Penitentiary, Krunk and Quinn have to find a way out or learn to make new friends (if you know what I mean). Luckily, Krunk's big, bad mom ain't about to let her baby boy go punk, and woe be to he who gets in her way . . . or who doesn't. Meanwhile, vengeful space-hottie Neoki realizes that to get back her priceless idol, she's going to need the key around Quinn's neck-and she's going to have to get it before the time bomb around his neck goes boom! Relentlessly marching forward in their quest to embarrass their families, Zach Howard (Shaun of the Dead) and Sean Murphy (Scarecrow: Year One; Off Road), with screenwriter Reed Buccholz, have created Outer Orbit, an 'epic' science-fiction/action-comedy/adjective-noun forged from equal parts stupidity, idiocy, and imbecility. And in case you were wondering, yes, sheep are involved. Cover price $2.99.
