    Chronowar (1996) 7

Story and art by Kazumasa Takayama. Good guys finish last. That's what former detective Watanabe is teaching Machida -- and he's teaching it the hard way. The lesson begins when Machida attempts to rescue Chiaki, who is suspended in the air above Tokyo Tower. It ends when Watanabe's trap is sprung -- a battery of machine guns set to blast both Machida and Chiaki to the other side of the Japanese city. And can Machida, half-paralyzed by Watanabe's machine guns, do anything to help the woman he has worshipped from afar for so long? 32 pages, B&W. Cover price $2.95.

But of all the things Chiaki doesn't remember, of all the amazing things she's experienced in the last three-hundred-and-some odd days, the one thing you'd think she'd be able to recall is . . . she's dead. 32 pages, B&W. Cover price $2.95.
