Charlton releases a tie-in comic to the classic 1961 Danish monster movie (released by American International in 1962). Miners find a frozen fragment of a gigantic reptile, and send it to scientists for study. But as it thaws, it begins to regenerate, and soon the monstrous, indestructible Reptilicus lays waste to human cities. In a backup story, a scientist gains the power of telekinesis, and humankind trembles. Harry wants to be a hero, but when the chance arises, he decides he'd rather be ordinary Harry. Reptilicus; Mind over Matter; Daydreams. 32 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.

Almost completely destroyed at the end of his first rampage, the monster survives in a single fragment in the ocean, which regenerates as it drifts south. Having escaped the Arctic, the Big R turns up in Africa, where visiting scientists join forces with Masai warriors to battle it. A backup science story talks about some of the deadlier creatures of the sea, including killer whales, moray eels and sharks. Final issue under this title; series continues as Reptisaurus (1962) #3. Reptilicus in the African Jungle; War Against Wei; Killers of the Deep. 32 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
