A "Boys' Life"-style comic promoting hunting, fishing and other outdoors activities for 1950s boys. What makes it "a new kind of comic book" (as the cover says) is that the stories are interrupted periodically with tips on gun safety, proper fishing techniques, etc. Bob and his father go to the Wisconsin lakes in search of the tough-fighting fish called the muskellunge. In Manitoba, Bob learns about the wolf, which is considered "a threat to conservation" at the time. Plus text articles on duck hunting and the eastern trout.
