    First Printing. 1899. Written by James L. Ford and illustrated by Archie Gunn. Charming romance presented as a series of hand-written letters between lovers that ultimately culminates in their wedding announcement in the form of a newspaper clipping. Lavish presentation consists of a tipped-in printed letter, clipping, or telegram on each right-hand page with an accompanying full-page B&W illustration by Gunn on the left. Hardcover binding is white textured paper over padded boards with titles and decoration stamped in gold and silver. 9.5" x 12". 40 pages. Black and white.
