This issue features the hillbilly antics of Al Capp's Li'l Abner. The Angel face-cream advertising agency uses Eric Travers' painting of Daisy Mae as their new image, thinking she's a figment of Travers' imagination. Daisy Mae is ignorant of new newfound fame, even as wealthy Tony Powderly falls in love with her image. But Tony's jealous fiancee Lucretia learns the truth, and plans to get rid of Daisy Mae.
