"Showdown on the Sonoma Stage"; In the town of Somona, a stage coach carrying gold is once more robbed and the driver shot dead; Hoping to stop the thief, the local banker hires Tex Taylor to ride shotgun on the next ride out. "Marvel Comics Group" editorial disputing Dr. Wertham's article in the Saturday Review of Literature. Article in defense of comics, comparing anti-comics critics to anti-novel critics. "Fine Feathers and Flying Fists!"; Two-Gun Kid hears a boy crying and goes to see if he is okay; He learns that the boy has been run out of town and school, and is intending to run away to become a gunfighter like the Two-Gun Kid. "Ghost Story" text story. "Nuggets of Doom!"; Jake Miller is toiling his gold panning operation when he is confronted by a gang of masked riders who demand that he turn over his gold; When Miller recognizes the voice of the gangs leader, the leader shoots Miller dead; Soon Blaze Carson and a crowd of local gold miners arrive to investigate. "The Saga of the Mad Mayor!"; Two-Gun Kid rides a train to Rail's End, meeting railroad detective Pat McCune and Jeremiah Mooney the mayor of Mooneyville; Ahead of the train are some of Mooney's men who have blocked the rail track, causing the engine to derail, stopping the train. 36 pgs., full color. $0.10. "The Man Behind the Mask," art by Syd Shores; Matthew Masters is returning from a house call when he notices the sheriff putting up a wanted poster for an outlaw named Tod Sultan who has been seen in the area; Going into his office, Masters is held at gun point by Sultan, who had been wounded by the sheriff earlier that day and needs medical attention.
