"Champion and The Lost Gold Mine," art by Morris Gollub; While Champ is scheduled for shoeing, the boys go exploring, stumble across a cave, an old abandoned Spanish gold mine. They take some gold out, are accosted by western thugs. Rebel-dog races home, fetches Champion from the corral; The grown-ups soon follow. "Champion and the Rodeo Robber," art by Morris Gollub; Smoky and nephew Ricky take Champion to the benefit Rodeo where Champion is billed "Extra Added Attraction Champion the Wonder Horse" A second-story burglar, The Phantom Thief, has been plaguing the event. "Champion and The Trap," art by Morris Gollub; Ricky, Champion, and Rebel thwart horse thieves who use an old-fashioned water trap (pen-up a water-hole with cut trees, and a narrow opening) to capture horses. "Champion and Trouble at Coyote Ridge," art by Morris Gollub; Bank robbers on the run waylay a stranger, leaving him unconscious in the brush; Ricky and Champ rescue him, and recover incriminating evidence; The robbers assume the stranger's reservation at a dude ranch; they are found out. 36 pgs., full color. "Champion and the Young Rustlers," script by Gaylord Du Bois, art by Morris Gollub; Two young horse rustlers are working High Valley where Champion watches over the purebred stock; The rustlers capture Champion. Rebel frees Champion; Champion rescues Ricky from a cougar. "Champion Finds the Lobos of Lost Canyon," script by Gaylord Du Bois, art by Morris Gollub; After the train jumps the track, Ricky and Champion wander lost, and encounter horse thieves. Plus: the inside front cover features a picture of a bronze plaque awarded to Dell Publishing by Newsdealers Post Number 1169 of the American Legion. The plaque, presented on November 14, 1954, was received by George T. Delacorte, Jr., President of the Dell Publishing Company, "in recognition of his efforts in establishing and maintaining the Dell Comics line as clean and wholesome juvenile entertainment, and because in doing so he has set an example for the entire comics publishing industry to follow." 36 pages, full color. "Champion in Dangerous Waters," script by Gaylord Du Bois, art by Morris Gollub; Champion and Rebel dog are in the high country, watching over the herd; A mare and her colt stray, and Champ rescues them from a cougar; The colt stumbles into an arroyo, trapped; Coudburst, downpour; Champ leads the colt out of the arroyo; As a flash flood rushes forth, Champ descends again into the arroyo, grabs a fawn by the nape, and leaps to safety; Rancher Tex: his jeep has stalled in floodwater; He rides Champ back to save the ranch from the storm and dam-burst. "Champion in Fire Trap," art by Morris Gollub; Dan Brady Traveling Grocery crashed his wagon during the morning run.
