"Flames Along the Border!", art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt spots Rafe Murdock and his gang hauling a load of guns and smells trouble; However, before he can go and warn the soldiers at Fort Henry, he is spotted by the gang and they give him chase; He is able to shoot the guns out of their hands but is soon over powered and knocked out; When the Kid comes to, he finds himself tied up as Murdock and his gang camp for the night. "Trail By Night" text story. "Trail's End!", art by Jack Keller; Wounded by the Apache renegade named White Claw, Kid Colt is fading fast on his horse Steel; As he passes out he is found by the warrior named Pomattu who takes him back to his peoples village; When a warrior named Red Dog protests against Pomattu bringing Kid Colt to their tribe, Pomattu defends him and then nurses Kid Colt back to health. "Six-Gun Palaver!", art by Jack Keller; A young man named Dan Wayne tries to make a name for himself by drawing on Kid Colt in a saloon, but the Kid easily disarms the boy and warns him to be careful of who he picks a fight with before leaving to hit the trail once more. "The Last Gun Fight," art by George Tuska. "Showdown At Sunset!", art by Jack Keller; Needing water for his horse Steel, Kid Colt happens by a cabin and when nobody responds to his calls, he has Steel drink from the water trough when suddenly the cabins occupants begin to shoot at him; Kid Colt stands down and he is confronted by an old man named Gramps and his daughter Ginny. 36 pgs., full color. "Mission of Mercy," art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt moseys into a town at night and happens upon a robbery in progress and tries to stop it but the outlaws manage to get away; When the sheriff and his posse arrive, the sheriff tells him that they do not like interference from strangers and even though Kid Colt is recognized he is told to leave and let them handle their own problems. "Courage Canyon" text story. "Danger Trail," art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt is trying to convince a young boy named Gary to steer away from a life of being an outlaw for his grandfather's sake; Gary, who just turned 18, refuses to listen and goes off his Auggie who has captured the boys influence with the glorification of an outlaw lifestyle. "No Place to Run!", art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt comes to the aid of a man named Walt Jarette who is being roughed up by a local who doesn't want him in town; When the man pulls his gun, Kid Colt shoots it out of his hand and demands to know what is going on; The Kid is told that Walt's brother Mike is a wanted outlaw and that the locals believe that Walt is predisposed to become a criminal as well and do not want him in town. "Revolt in Rawhide!", art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt rides into the town of Rawhide and when walking to the local saloon he bumps into a man who then tries to pick a fight with him; However, the Kid easily bests the man and disarms him and sends him packing. 36 pgs., full color. "The Secret of the Plains!", art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt has stopped a gang of men he believes had robbed the Fork Bank; However, the men shady looking men profess their innocence and after Kid Colt searches their saddle bags finds none of the stolen money and is forced to let them go. "Bushwhacker" text story. "Prairie Smoker," art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt is defending a group of settlers who have come into a new region to set up stakes but are by area ranchers who don't want the settlers in their area; When one of the ranchers pulls out a gun, Kid Colt easily disarms him; Hansen the leader of the ranchers tells Kid Colt that the settlers have fifteen minutes to clear out and leave them to make their decision. "Six-Gun Challenge!", art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt is shopping in a general store when a young man named Roy Dugan takes a shot at him to avenge his brother Hank whom Kid Colt sent to prison previously; Kid Colt easily disarms the young man and knocks him out by shooting some suspended pots down to knock him on the head. "Showdown For Keeps!", art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt is on his way into Dobb City to find it guarded by a pair of men who refuse to let him in; Kid Colt disarms them with his blazing guns and demands to know what is going on when suddenly he hears gun shots in town; Kid Colt rushes into town to see a gang of outlaws trying to flee the scene. 36 pgs., full color. "Curtain of Lead," art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt is tying up his horse Steel in town when suddenly the Fuller gang comes in with guns blazing; When Kid Colt tries to draw his guns Blackie Fuller gets the first shot, winging the Kid before he and his gang flee town; He learns from the locals that the gang had cleared up the express office and wounded one of the me; Learning that the sheriff is forming a posse, Kid Colt asks to join up. "The Stage to Stacey," art by Gene Colan. "Trouble Trail," art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt has come to the home of his friend Randy and his fiancée Ellen and arrives to find Randy's father dead at the hands of Pete Lawson, the end result of a long-time feud; Randy wants to avenge his father's death, but Kid Colt and Ellen try to talk him out of it, but Randy will not listen and rides off after pulling a gun on the Kid. "King of the Badlands," art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt is part of a posse entering into the badlands to round up King Bellows and his gang to run them out so a railroad can be built; They run into an ambush by the very outlaws they are seeking to capture; Pinned down, Mr. Dorset, the leader of the posse, has a doubt in stopping the gang since the entire posse are just farmers and night gunfighters. "Inside the Cave," script by Stan Lee, art by Al Williamson. "Badman's Rout," art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt is riding along the range when he runs into a young boy crying for help; Kid Colt stops and learns that his family ranch, run by his widowed mother, is being attacked by a gang of men; Kid Colt comes to the woman's rescue and sends the men packing. 36 pgs., full color. "The Challenge!", art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt rides his horse Steel across a one way bridge when a man named Dagger Tate stops him half way to cross himself, threatening to cut the bridge loose if the Kid does not move out of his way, forcing the Kid to dangerously ride his horse backwards on the dangerous bridge; When Tate begins to cross the bridge, the Kid pulls out his gun and shoots the gun out of his hand. "Range Change" text story. "Day of Decision!", art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt is helping a number of soldiers who are under attack by a gang of renegades trying to obtain an important pouch; With all the soldiers wounded the trust Kid Colt to run the pouch to the fort as whoever holds the paperwork owns a part of Texas; Kid Colt flees in the night to get the documentation to the fort. "An Act of Faith!", art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt is awoken from his sleep when he detects a young boy sneaking into his camp and attempting to steal his food; Kid Colt wakes up and offers the boy food much to the young boy's surprise; Getting the boy to confide in him, Kid Colt learns that the boy's name is Danny and his father is the doctor in Pine Bluff. "The Promise," script by Stan Lee, pencils by Al Williamson, inks by Gray Morrow. "Desert Vengeance!", art by Jack Keller; While riding across the desert Kid Colt comes across a monk just as he collapses from heat exhaustion; The Kid rushes to his aid and gives him water and builds a shelter to keep him out of the sun; He learns from the monk that some men stole an ancient vase from the Chapel of Santo Miguel which is kept in a fountain due to its special properties. 36 pgs., full color. "Showdown!", art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt rides into the town of San Juan and is stopped by two armed men who tell him the old sheriff who is going into the local saloon to face Dip Fallon; Kid Colt is about to get involved when suddenly the sheriff walks out of the saloon without a single shot fired and shamefully leaves town. "The Suspects" text story, art by Manny Stallman. "Surrender or Die!", art by Jack Keller; The United States Calvary have the town of Longhorn surrounded, trapping a gang of outlaws who have taken over the area; However, although the army has been ready for an attack on the town all day the orders have not been given; Watching over this tense scene is Kid Colt who is asked to speak with the commanding officer. "The Phantom Raiders!", art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt is passing through Phantom City, and old ghost town, when he spots an elderly sheriff have a gun fight with a gang of outlaws who appear to be ghosts as Kid Colt did not hear their approach and after the gun fight was over he saw the outlaws get up and leave the scene. "The Loser," script by Stan Lee, art by Manny Stallman. "The Stalker!", art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt rides into Sunset Mesa, a crimeless town, to visit his friend Sam; As Kid Colt pulls up to Sam's newspaper the "Peacemaker" he hears gun shots, and rushing around back he fires at the shooter but misses; Rushing back inside to check on Sam, he finds his friend dying on the floor; Sam's final words to Kid Colt are to check the old files for "Sunset Mesa finds peace." 36 pgs., full color.
