"Like Father, Like Son," script by Jack Oleck, art by Nestor Redondo; A man makes a deal with a witch to supply a maiden in exchange for gold; He asks the witch if there is any way to avoid damnation when dealing with the Devil and she tells him that he can escape Hell if he sacrifices his own son; He brings the young girl to the coven and they tell him that he can return for her the following morning; When he comes back he finds that the events of the evening have destroyed her sanity. "Puglyon's Crypt," script by David Michelinie, art by Ramona Fradon; A man with a fear of premature burial kicks some gypsy squatters out of his warehouse telling them to find somewhere else to stay for the winter; Since his father used to punish him by locking him in the family crypt overnight, he decides to have his casket built with a ventilation pipe and a door which opens from the inside out; After the specifications are complete, his vehicle gets into an accident wherein a small piece of window glass in his brain causes a temporary paralysis long enough for him to be considered dead and interred in his casket. 36 Pages, Full Color. "Don't Cry for Uncle Malcolm," script by Gerry Boudreau, art by Alex Niño; A man's uncle dies and he and his sister drive up to attend the funeral, but the locals are hostile and refuse to give direction; When they finally locate the house, they realize that the uncle was a voodoo practitioner who used his powers to keep the locals in thrall. 2 Abel's Fables cartoon pages by Sergio Aragonés. "Turnabout," script by Steve Skeates (as Steve Skeats), art by Quico Redondo; A woman murders her husband and dumps the body in the truck of her car, then drives to a river to dispose of it; When she looks in the trunk she is startled to see that the body is missing; The man's ghost appears, and she backs away, striking her head on the trunk. "Nasty Little Man," script by Jack Oleck, art by Ramona Fradon; A foul-tempered man manages to capture a leprechaun and extract from him his heart's desire, a stone house and to never be hungry again; At first it seems as though he gains his wish when he marries a local girl, but after he secretly murders his wife's father in order to be lord of the estate, the dead man's lawyer informs him that he was not so well off as the killer had assumed and their house will have to be sold. 36 Pages, Full Color. "Corpus Delicti," script by Jack Oleck, art by Gerry Talaoc; A man resents his smothering wife so he strangles her after a year of marriage and dumps her body in a trunk; He attempts to send the trunk to the cabin where they had their honeymoon so that he can dump it in the lake, but when the movers bring it back he becomes agitated and causes them to drop it down the stairs. "Ms. Vampire Killer," script by Don Glut, art by E. R. Cruz; A village with a vampire problem unknowingly hires a female vampire who works as a vampire killer in order to eliminate the competition and score some fringe benefits such as the men who find her attractive whom she lures into secluded spots for feeding. 36 Pages, Full Color. "The Centaur," script by Sam Glanzman and Martin Pasko, art by Sam Glanzman; Three hunters split up in the woods in order to look for a deer when one of them encounters a centaur; The centaur offers to take the man through a light portal to a paradise and the man agrees. "Grave Business," script by David Michelinie, art by Ruben Yandoc (as Rubeny); A widow tells the funeral director that her dead husband had all of his money placed inside his casket and offers to share it with him if he unseals the casket; At first the man refuses, but after the man is buried, he decides to dig it up; The widow covers him with a gun when he finishes, but he flings dirt in her face and then kills her with the shovel. "There He Is Again!", script by Don Kaar, art by Alfredo Alcala; Ushers are startled to see a boy who sneaks into the theater fall backwards into the movie screen and become part of the horror movie after they surround him. 36 Pages, Full Color. "A Fugitive Apparition," script by John Albano, art by Leandro Sesarego; A cranky ghost in an old house makes friends with a young boy until the kid meets a girl and loses interest in the ghost. "A Connecticut Ice Cream Man in King Arthur's Court," script by Michael Fleisher and Russ Carley (script continuity), art by Alex Toth; An ice cream man finds himself transported to King Arthur's court by a thick fog and gets in Arthur's good graces by offering him ice cream; It doesn't take long before he thinks of dumping rat poison into the ice cream to polish off Arthur and his nobles and take over; Merlin overhears him scheming and goes to the king with the rat poison as proof; The king is in a quandary as he wishes to execute the ice cream man for treason but only he can provide ice cream to the banquet Arthur has promised his nobles. "Last of the Frankensteins," script by Jack Oleck, art by Ernie Chan; The last of the Frankensteins, Edmund Frankenstein, turns out to be a mechanical construct; The irony of the story turns out that he is destroyed by an angry mob of peasants without knowing that he is in fact a robot. "Never Rouse a Vampire!", script by George Kashdan, art by Jay Albister; A carnival barker gets the idea that he can drum up more business if he exhibits a vampire so he has one of his showgirls chat up a creepy-looking carnival drifter into agreeing to play the part; The dupe thinks the showgirl likes him and she tells him that the barker is saving up the money for the two of them to get married. "Make Believe," script by Jack Oleck, art by Ruben Yandoc (as Rubeny); A crippled boy makes a centaur friend on a Greek isle and tells his nurse and father about their adventures; At first the adults are angry that they believe the child is lying to them about not needing his crutches in the magic circle, but after he persists in his tales, the father contacts a psychologist who recommends that the boy be taken from the isle. 36 Pages, Full Color. Alcala; An abusive father and his crippled son are hiking in the mountains when they are visited by Death in the guise of a shepherd; The boy takes a liking to Death and Death leads him to a meadow where he can play with other children and doesn't need his crutch to walk. "Instant Re-Kill!", script by Steve Skeates, art by Frank Robbins; An insane actor brutally murders his co-star in order to get the jilted lover scene just right and can't understand why arresting officers aren't convinced that it's just a movie. 36 Pages, Full Color. "The Long Run!", script by Steve Skeates, art by Lee Marrs. "On Borrowed Time," script by Jack Oleck, art by Alex Nino; A thief steals a battery powered watch which can transport a person one week into the future by setting it one minute forward; He uses the watch to commit crimes until he gets the idea to steal a large number of diamonds and set the watch five years into the future so that he can fence them without difficulty. "Weird Wanda," script by David Michelinie, art by Ernie Chan (as Ernie Chua); The business partner of a skating rink owner attempts to get out of a gambling debt by embezzling money but is caught by the other partner; The thief kills him and disposes of the body; The killer leaves a note for the wife saying that her husband has run off with another woman and the wife becomes mentally unbalanced. 36 Pages, Full Color.
