In addition to Clay's world, in each issue, you also often see the adventures of the fictional characters that he is working on. In this issue, a two-chapter story, "Tough Men and Tender Moments" and "Deathtraps and Breadlines," Clay struggles to write his fictional characters, Tombstone Tunney and Congo Carson, out of jams and meet his writing deadlines.
