  • Issue #4

This item is not in stock at MyComicShop. If you use the "Add to want list" tab to add this issue to your want list, we will email you when it becomes available.

The fourth issue of The Vadeboncoeur Collection of ImageS expands the boundaries of fine illustrative art. While names like Maxfield Parrish, N.C. Wyeth, J.C. Leyendecker, and Franklin Booth will resonate with many collectors, British artists Charles Robinson, Edmund Dulac, and Arthur Rackham make this issue a bit more continental. Add Fortunio Matania from Italy and Franz von Bayros from Germany, Sarah S. Stilwell from the Howard Pyle School, and Herbert Draper and Solomon J. Solomon from the 19th Century British Salons, and the variety is simply stunning. With an amazing cover by Frank Craig - Spaniard Daniel Vierge, Katherine Sturges Dodge, F.X. Leyendecker, J. Scott Williams, and several others round out the most diverse ImageS yet. All reproduced in color from scarce early 20th century books and magazines. Printed on 100 lb coated stock with heavy covers. 9-in. x 12-in., 32 pages, full color. Cover price $20.00.
