Cover by Reg Greenwood. Stories and art by Burne Hogarth, Reg Greenwood, Fred Methot, Bernard Dibble, Ernie Bushmiller, Jack Sparling, Drew Pearson, Bob Allen, Ben Batsford, Rudolph Dirks, Charlie Plumb, Bill Conselman, Harry O'Neill, Raeburn Van Buren and Frank N. Ernest. United's anthology featured reprints of early comic strips plus an original superhero, The Spark Man, who joined the military to fight in WWII. In the Pacific, The Spark Man, having long since given up the electrical powers that gave him his name, dispenses with the costume and goes into action as Private Omar Kavak (but is unfailingly called "The Spark Man"). He is assigned to evacuate Resistance fighters from Nazi-held Crete. Whatever crazy situation the Captain and Mama get into while racing around the world, The Kids and their mischief can always make it worse. Bombo accidentally launches himself to Mars in eccentric Professor Butterbilly's rocket. Plus a Tarzan adventure by Burne Hogarth. Spark Man; Hap Hopper; Nancy; Captain and the Kids; Ella Cinders; Tarzan; Abbie an Slats; Broncho Bill; Frankie Doodle; Sparkler Salutes; El Bombo; Unbelievable - But True. 64 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
