It's the third and final showdown between Doctor Octopus and the Amazing Spider-Man...in just as many days! However this time the wall-crawler has a special surprise for Doc Ock -- that might foul up his control of his mechanical arms! When the web-slinger and Dr. Octopus meet again in a rooftop clash, a crowd gathers below. Tragically, Doc Ock knocks the chimney off the roof...and it falls toward a young boy! However in heroic fashion, Captain Stacy saves the boy, but at a terrible cost to himself. Spider-Man rushes to help Gwen's father, but Captain Stacy's fate has been sealed. However also on the flight is a high-ranking American diplomat -- who is abducted by terrorists once the place lands at Heathrow Airport! Fortunately, Peter brought his familiar red and blue suit across the pond! And the Amazing Spider-Man swings into action from the Tower Bridge to the Big Ben Clock -- to save the American delegate! But will the web-slinger's much-publicized appearance in London derail Peter's plan to visit Gwen? Cameo appearances by J. With Gwen Stacy still in London, Peter Parker gains a new admirer: Mary Jane Watson. Oh boy. How will Mary Jane's sudden interest in Peter affect Harry Osborn? Unfortunately, the short answer is not well. Since Harry is secretly battling a drug addiction. Nevertheless, when Mary Jane makes her off-Broadway debut at a local theater; Peter and Harry attend the show to support her. Interestingly, Norman Osborn also attends the musical. In part because he used to own the building that now houses the theater. During the show Norman fixates on a certain door -- possibly a storage room door -- just off the main hallway. And Peter notices it too. After the show the web-slinger returns to the theater...and discovers his worst nightmare in the flesh: the Green Goblin! Wow! Cameo appearances by Joe Robertson and Randy Robertson. (Notes: This three-part story was not approved by the CCA due to the (anti) drug-themed story. At this time the code did not permit drugs to be mentioned in any fashion. However Stan Lee published the story anyway, and it led to major revisions in the code -- allowing anti-drug stories and horror stories including ones about vampires.
