Amazing art! Delightful reading! says Buddy Saunders, Lone Star Comics owner. THE SUNDAY FUNNIES Vol. 1 recaptures in full color the magic of Sunday comic sections when they were a full 16"x22" and each strip occupied a full page. On eBay full-size Sunday page sections sell for $10 or more each, but Sunday Funnies brings you 96 pages for just 31c per page! A deal this good is hard to find anywhere! This 96-page section, in three newspaper-style 32-page sections, all 16-in. x 22-in., is printed on a newspaper press on 60 pound offset stock for maximum clarity and longevity. The first issue contains the first 30 GASOLINE ALLEY Sunday pages (1920-1921), the first few months of ALLEY OOP Sundays (1934) and BRONC PEELER Sundays (1934), plus extra pages like KRAZY KAT (1922), STUMBLE INN by Herriman, WEE WILLIE WINKIE, RIGHT AROUND HOME full pages, and others. At 31 cents per page, access to these otherwise impossible to find classics of story and art are now affordable to all. Here's your chance to read and enjoy the greatest of the early comic strips just the way past generations enjoyed them. Read this first volume of SUNDAY FUNNIES and you'll understand why the comic section was the FIRST newspaper section readers went to each morning! Future 96-page volumes will include Gasoline Alley, Little Nemo, Polly and Her Pals, Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers, Alley Oop, Tarzan, Terry and the Pirates, and many, many more historic Sunday pages, presented in the format that they were originally intended for. Cover price $30.00.
