GI Jane is part of the WACs (Women's Army Corps), allowing her cartoonists, Hal Seeger and Bill Williams, to combine military humor with plentiful good-girl art. Jane uses a cannon for drying her laundry, but accidentally fires it just as a delegation from Congress is visiting the base. In a risque story for its time, Patti goes skinny-dipping, unaware that camouflaged soldiers are on maneuvers next to the pond.
