ROBERT E. HOWARD'S CONAN: THE FRAZETTA COVER SERIES #2 (of 8)-THE GOD IN THE BOWL Kurt Busiek (W), Cary Nord (A), Dave Stewart (C), and Frank Frazetta (Cover) On sale Apr 23 FC, 48 pages $5.99 Miniseries This second installment in the Conan Frazetta Cover Series celebrating 75 years of the legendary barbarian, adapts Robert E. Howard's classic tale of murder and intrigue, 'The God in the Bowl.' This story marks the Cimmerian's first encounter with the deadly sorcerer Thoth-amon and his menagerie of vile giant serpentine creatures-brought to life by the stunning painting 'Chained' by the living legend Frank Frazetta, featured for the first time ever in comics! 'I much prefer illustrating the tales of Robert E. Howard. They are much stronger in mood and narration than those of Burroughs and allow a wider range of illustrative interpretations. As St. John is remembered for Edgar Rice Burroughs and Tarzan, I would like to be remembered for REH and Conan. I feel a certain sense of loss that Howard isn't alive to appreciate what I've done with Conan.' - Frank Frazetta Cover price $5.99.
