And when something's that big and deadly, you know it's gonna attract the Grendels! The devil-clan has transformed the former spectator sport into a brutal test of honor and merit, with the Indy 5000 the ultimate test. Enter Albert, a social misfit who wants to make his name driving the 5000. He's in good with the Grendels, so getting entered's not a problem. But something still stands in his way...something called Albert's Mother. Cover price $2.95.

Standing up to the Grendels is probably the most dangerous thing anybody can do, but when a mother is protecting her son, there is no danger too great. Young Albert is hell-bent on joining the ranks of the local klan and becoming a racer. The only thing that stands in his way is his mother, Dana. She's willing to pay any price to keep Albert from becoming a Grendel, though not even she expected that falling in love with Hack, the Grendel Chief, would be part of the bargain. Cover price $2.95.

Albert's vigilante acts against the Grendels have caused their order to unravel; as chief of the Grendels, Hack must stop Albert or lose control of the clan - a decision complicated by the fact that Hack is in love with Albert's mother, Dana; and Dana's relationship with Albert is about to fall apart because of her affection for Hack. Which is more important to Hack - his status or his love for Dana? And which is more important to Dana - her son or her lover?
