The clock is ticking Heroes aren't born; they're made. And sometimes there's not a hero to be found when you need one most. When four very human people each find objects from deepest space that have fallen to Earth, there's not a hero in the bunch. And that's a shame, because the fate of the world rests in their rapidly transforming hands. The clock starts ticking for humanity in COUNTDOWN, a 12-issue maxiseries from WILDSTORM PRODUCTIONS. Written by Jeff Mariotte (DESPERADOES: A MOMENT'S SUNLIGHT), with art and covers by Aaron Lopresti (NATIONAL COMICS) and Randy Emberlin (BATMAN: SHADOW OF THE BAT), COUNTDOWN follows four ordinary Americans drawn together by an extraordinary fate. As they find their bodies immeasurably altered by these space-born artifacts, the disparate quartet must join together to face a threat beyond comprehension. With the fate of the Earth at stake, four reluctant participants ? who don't even like one another ? must fill the role of heroes...and time is running out. The COUNTDOWN has begun... This project is supported with house ads. COUNTDOWN is a 12-issue WILDSTORM PRODUCTIONS maxiseries edited by John Layman. Cover price $2.95.
