    Reprints from Frisky Fables. Untitled story; Zany Giraffe July 4th story. "Hiawatha And The Fire Magician"; Dopsy Durvy, a Fire-Extinguisher selling rabbit, takes a break and falls into a storybook world, where he helps Hiawatha fight the evil Fire Magician. Clement Gets The Right Time text story. Safety Matches; Spunky gives Mr. Whiskers a hot foot, and starts a forest fire which quickly gets out of hand. Mr. Elephant comes to the rescue. A Date with Effie public service announcement; Betty is in a huff with Stan after she hears he had a date with Effie; Effie turns out to be a Radio System for broadcasting in a hospital; Public service strip to encourage volunteer workers in the Health Care System. Untitled story; The animals put on a benefit play and raise enough money to help Mrs. Wren rebuild her house. In-Tro-Ducing; The three kittens (Tick, Tack, and Toe) sneak into the circus and wind up becoming part of the show. 36 pgs., full color. Cover price $0.10.

    Reprints from Frisky Fables. An interesting issue in that the title character, Spunky, the Smiling Spook, does not appear anywhere in this comic. There is a Spunky story, but the title character in the story is a small kangaroo. Why the change which appears to have been done at the last minute? We'll probably never know. Untitled story, art by Al Fago; Boston Bully calls people names and gets turned into the animals that he calls them. Untitled story, art by Marty Taras; Frosty and Gabbie find a milk-making machine. Untitled story, art by Harold Abbey; Pidgy paints a bear and gets into a fight with it. "Rootitoot" text story. Untitled story; Spunky pretends to be the Crown Prince of Kangavania and gets himself into trouble. Untitled story; Tick, Tack, and Toe play at a construction site. 36 pgs., full color.     Stories and art by Harold Abbey and others. Spunky looks quite a bit like Casper, but is actually a spinoff of Farrell's Frisky Fables series. Spunky becomes the sheriff of a Western ghost town - populated by ghosts, of course. Dopsy Durvy decides to "fix" the Jack and the Beanstalk story, and winds up confronting the giant himself. Pidgy Parrot uses his Magic Paint to sail to the South Seas, but runs afoul of the ocean god Neptune.
