1st printing. Story by Lee Falk. Art and cover by Ray Moore and Wilson McCoy. Pacific Comics Club reprints the comic-strip adventures of the seemingly immortal crime-fighter called The Phantom. Collects The Phantom daily pages from February 2nd, 1942 to January 9th, 1943. First printed in Italy for comics art collectors, this does not feature Lee Falk's original text, but is translated back into English from Italian. Likewise, the Phantom's costume is red on the cover, which is how the character appears in Italy. During World War II, The Phantom and his tribal allies join the fight as Axis forces seek a foothold in their land of Bengali. They want to cut off Allied supply lines, but they weren't expecting resistance fighters led and organized by The Phantom. 11-in. x 8-1/2-in., 108 pages, B&W.
