Simpsons Comics and Stories (1993 Bongo) Butterfinger Edition 1BUTTERFINGER VG 4.0
1" Spine split. Cover oxidation.
Starts Apr 20 Simpsons Comics and Stories Butterfinger Mini Comic Edition (1993) is a giveaway (despite the $2.50 cover price) variant of the full-size comic, with all the stories and ads that appear in the regular edition. As with the full-sized edition, stories include "Lo, There Shall Come a Bartman" (co-plot by Cindy Vance, script, layouts, and inks by Steve Vance, inks by Bill Morrison and Mike Anderson), "Bring Me the Head of El Barto" (script and art by Morrison), and "Maggie's Excellent Adventure" (co-story and layouts by Steve Vance, co-story by Cindy Vance, finished art by Ray Supreme). Wonder Woman and the Star Riders vs. Purrsia (1993 Kellogs) 1 CGC 9.6
Paper: White
Label #4663019024
Starts Apr 27 Wonder Woman and the Star Riders vs. Purrsia, Kellogg's Cinnamon Mini Buns mini comic (measuring 2-3/4 x 4-1/4 inches) was the only promotional item ever released based on the never-seen Wonder Woman cartoon series. This series was to have run on the heels of shows like She-Ra. The mini-comic was released in some areas in 1993 with Kellogg's Cinammon Mini Buns cereal. Note that Wonder Woman has a different costume and several companions, the Star Riders--Ice, Dolphin, Starlily and Solara. Dolphin and Ice come from the DC comics universe. The storyline involves WW and her friends retrieving stolen gems from the villianess Purrsia. More fantasy than superhero fare. A rare mini comic and an excellent, unusual piece of Wonder Woman memorabilia. There are three other comics in the Cinnamon Mini Buns giveaway series: Flash vs. Dr. Polaris, Justice League of America vs. Amazo, and Superman vs. Metallo. These were mailed in a flat, white envelope with a thank-you card. No artist or writer listed.
