"Prelude!" Part 1 of 3. Script by Roger Stern. Art by Sal Buscema (breakdowns) and Mike Esposito (finishes). Cover by Herb Trimpe. In the middle of the night in Northern California, the Hulk busts into a local tavern! And surprisingly, the Green Goliath makes a new friend -- who helps him escape from the police! Story continues in Captain America 230. First appearance of Fred Sloan. Cameo appearance by Clay Quartermain. (Note: The letters page includes a letter from comics writer Kurt Busiek.) 36 pages.
