Couples wrestle with marital strife in this pre-Code romance comic from Canadian publisher Superior that often features good-girl art. Looking for thrills, Claire develops a reputation that could doom her romance with Jack, in "I Was a Pick-up Girl," a story featuring some racy pre-Code bad-girl art. Redheaded farm girl Tessie romances handsome neighbor Rex Macon, but her Pa disapproves, in a story with some nice good-girl art. Bill and Wendy's marriage plans are derailed by her father's illness. Also featuring a vintage ad for the Rosary Cross of Seven Sorrows - an odd choice for a comic that features "I Was a Pick-up Girl." I Was a Pick-up Girl; Desperate Romance; Kisses of Forgiveness; Together...Forever. 32 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.

Pre-Code mystery and horror stories from Canadian publisher Superior. A crook soon regrets stealing a cursed gem from the coffin of his aunt's twin sister, leaving a trail of bodies in his wake. After the grisly murder of his wife (in an iron lung!), Bill is repeatedly visited by a woman who looks just like her. Watching a horror movie unleashes the beast within henpecked Horace, turning him into a werewolf with a taste for the ladies. Some horror-comics covers are symbolic, but this cover actually illustrates a scene from the comic, when gangster Big Jim visits a hellish nightclub called the Charnel House. Trapped in the Tomb; The Deadly Double; Mark of the Beast; Horror a la Mode; Call Me Monster. 36 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
