1964 New York Comic Con Program - limited to 120 copies. Cover by Steve Ditko. Designed/Created by Bernie Bubnis. Program for the first comic convention on July 27, 1964 at Union Meeting Hall, New York. Generally considered to the be the first organized comic book convention (as opposed to more general "science-fiction" conventions) in history. 56 people attended the convention, including a 15-year old George RR Martin and the featured guests included Marvel intern Dave Twedt and Lone Ranger artist Tom Gill. In his ONLY convention appearance, Steve Ditko attended but did not speak, instead choosing to converse casually with fans and draw a few Spidey sketches for future fanzine covers. Features art from Jack Kirby, Curt Swan, and Alan Weiss. Loose pages stapled. 8 1/2" X 11". B&W.
