Indicia title is "SMOKEY STOVER, No. 7." Cover art by Bill Holman. Untitled stories starring Smokey Stover. Smokey sees a man to whom he owes $50; To escape, he hides in a box full of dynamite. Smokey gets to be chief for one day. Smokey is supposed to be raking leaves, but decides to take a nap in the pile of leaves. Smokey gives an exploding cigar to a friend and it makes the round until it comes back to him. Fiddling Finnegan practices his awful fiddling at Smokey's firehouse. Smokey's son is supposed to practice the violin, but rigs it up with a clock's pendulum. Smokey decides to go to Texas for a vacation because it's all downhill on the map. Cookie bakes the Chief a birthday cake, but the only "candle" Smokey can find turns out to be a firecracker. Smokey and the Chief hide their clothes in a pile of sand while they go swimming, but the sand turns out to be cement. Scripts and art by Bill Holman. 68 pages, full color. Cover price $0.10.

Smilin' Jack is still being mistaken as someone named Powder, and he is forced to marry Boona Goo. Limehouse puts Jack and Fat Stuff in jail and to work in the sulphur mine. Smilin' Jack, Fat Stuff, The Head and The Claw escape from jail, but are eventually caught. Smilin' Jack escapes from prison again, and it looks like he may be rescued. Wash has followed Carol McKee and her father to Panazuela; He brought Captain Easy, who was suffering from amnesia from a blow on the head; They are thrown into prison when a revolution starts. Bull Dawson steals the country's $6 million in gold, but the boat gets hung up on a sandbar. Easy gets control of the boat from Dawson and dumps the gold overboard in order to get away; The group is picked up by a ship and return to the United States. Rowden Splendix plants a fake story about Wash's father returning from Africa, then hires a bum to play the part. With Wash's bum of a father fouling up his relationship with the McKees, Rowden Splendix and his father up the ante by having him take a woman "customer" out on the town. Easy finds Wash on his "date" with I.R. Splendix's hired girl, Fifi, and substitutes himself at the pair's table. Easy goes to the police and fingers Bolito Coker as the one who killed I.R. Splendix. Wash, still on the run with his bum "father," hides out on a houseboat; They end up at the farm of the bum's long-deserted wife and son. Tracy and Pat try to prevent the hijacking of a truckload of furs, but get caught in a fiery crash; Tracy gets Fred Marken to help set up a trap for the fur thieves. Stooge Viller gets $55,000 from a safe-deposit box and goes into business with "The Professor" manufacturing small items that would be useful for criminals. Tracy finds The Professor's workshop, but is captured by Stooge Viller. After being accidentally shot by his daughter, Stooge Viller tries to escape by swimming across a river, but drowns. The baby's grandfather snatches the baby from the police station and takes it to his laboratory where he injects it with tropic sleep germs. Sanjak shows up at De Plexus' airstrip with a hypnotized April. Dr. Stork loses his spectacles and the Raggedys help him make his deliveries of babies. The police and mob boss Nick Gatt use their own ways to try to find the mysterious Axel and keep him from harming Annie; Gatt's methods are more brutal--and more effective. Buck shoots Gregory as the shopkeeper tries to take Annie into a back room where Axel's men are waiting. Annie finds out that Axel and his followers plan to take over the country. While Nick Gatt is trying to figure out a way to stop Axel, Byron Bolo is working on a plan to eliminate Gatt and take over his rackets.
