A young Union soldier (played by famed combat veteran Audie Murphy in the film) wrestles with his courage and his conscience while preparing to face Confederate forces in the early days of the Civil War. This adaptation is based on the full two-hour film, later heavily edited by the studio, which has since been lost. It features art by comics legend Bob Powell of "Sheena" fame. 32 pages, Full Color.
