Looking for thrills, Claire develops a reputation that could doom her romance with Jack, in "I Was a Pick-up Girl," a story featuring some racy pre-Code bad-girl art. Redheaded farm girl Tessie romances handsome neighbor Rex Macon, but her Pa disapproves, in a story with some nice good-girl art. Bill and Wendy's marriage plans are derailed by her father's illness. Also featuring a vintage ad for the Rosary Cross of Seven Sorrows - an odd choice for a comic that features "I Was a Pick-up Girl."
