    Cover by Carl Pfeufer. Stories and art by Pete Riss and John Adler. Mike Barnett, who did not carry a gun, was one of the first private-eye heroes on the brand-new medium of television. When Lightning, the prize stallion, is murdered at the racetrack. Mike Barnett follows a trail of fixed races back to the killer. A near-miss with a police chase leaves Mike's car in the ditch. But that's just the first twist in a case involving arson and murder. Like many great private eyes, Mike narrates his stories in first-person.
